Building the Hydrogen Market of Tomorrow

HyXchange aims to realize a trading platform for hydrogen on the main
Dutch hydrogen infrastructure, including global imports and European
connections.

HYCLICX Price Indicator

HyXchange publishes the HYCLICX spot market indicator for hydrogen based on lowest-priced electricity hours

What is HYCLICX?

The HYCLICX indicator represents the variable cost price component of green hydrogen production, including electricity consumption, renewable guarantees of origin, and operational costs.

Available as marginal price (HYCLICX) and integral price (HYCLICX PLUS) including fixed costs.

“Every day, we work with partners on developing the Dutch hydrogen supply chain because we have confidence in the opportunities that hydrogen presents, both in terms of climate targets and our economy. Our gas trading site TTF now houses Europe’s largest virtual market for natural gas. A hydrogen exchange could have the same catalytic effect on the market forces driving hydrogen”

Ulco Vermeulen, Gasunie

“The future Dutch hydrogen economy consists six key components: supply (offshore wind), demand (an industrial cluster), infrastructure (hydrogen backbone), import of hydrogen via Dutch ports, storage (Zuidwending) and a trading facility (HyXchange).”

Richard Middel, Groningen Seaports

“In the vicinity of North Sea Ports there is a vast potential for green hydrogen production from offshore wind and a solid industrial base with an large existing and quickly growing demand for green hydrogen and/or ammonia. HyXchange plays an important role to create a hydrogen market platform, including the required certification scheme. This is crucial to develop the hydrogen ecosystem within ports like North Sea Port.”

Maarten den Dekker, North Sea Ports

About Us

HyXchange is establishing a trading platform for hydrogen on the Dutch hydrogen backbone. Through standardized certificates, transparent pricing, and market infrastructure, we enable fair trade between producers and consumers across the Netherlands and Europe.
